Installation
Post Installation
Tools Needed:
Ground Tamper
Shovel
Level
1. Dig a hole around 16-17” deep and 6” in diameter.
2. We recommend using concrete to secure the post. It’s essential to use a level as it cures to ensure your mailbox is level. If you decide not to use concrete, tightly pack the dirt by firmly tamping around the post.
3. After the concrete has cured, backfill with dirt and firmly tamp. Continue checking the post to make sure it’s level.
Mailbox on Post Installation
Tools Needed:
Screw Driver
Adjustable wrench
1. After you've installed the post, align the mailbox mounting holes with the mounting holes on the post. Thread the included hardware (4 bolts & nuts) through the post into the mailbox and tighten the nuts until secure.
Locking Door Installation
Tools Needed:
Screw Driver
Adjustable wrench
1. The locking door add-on can be installed before or after your mailbox and post have been installed. Slide the locking door bottom into the mailbox and attach the included bolts and nuts through the holes closest to the front of the mailbox. Note: to avoid bolts interfering with your mail, we recommend placing the bolt underneath.
Adjusting the Flag Tension
Tools Needed:
Adjustable wrench
1. Adjusting your flag tension is simple: loosen or tighten the nut attached to the flag on the right inside frame with a wrench.
